My friends from the online salon I’m in in Japan and I went to “GIRA GIRA GIRLS” in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, to meet up. GiraGira Girls is a popular show pub in Kabukicho. It is part of the same chain as SAMURAI RESTAURANT, which is very popular with foreign tourists, and is located in the same building.
I’d been there before (before the COVID-19 pandemic) and it was a really fun place, with ladies in swimsuits performing on stage and sitting next to you and talking. I was excited to go there for the first time in a while.
Steps to entering the bar
We arrived at the bar around 7pm on a weekday. It looked pretty flashy from the entrance lol (as you can see in the picture).
We told the receptionist on the first floor how many people we had and were guided to the basement floor. When we entered the basement, we were greeted by ladies in swimsuits. We were seated three to a side at what looked like a bar counter.
After a while, several girls sat in front of the counter or next to it. We were asked what we wanted to drink, so we ordered something appropriate, and started with a toast. (The types of drinks were similar to the free drinks at girls bars and cabaret clubs, such as water splitting sake.)

We had fun drinking while talking to ladies in bikinis and staring at the ladies walking by! Because it was a special period, there were multiple shows (including pole dancing by ladies in swimsuits) even though it was early, so it felt like a good deal. (Usually the shows are mainly after 9pm.)
Before COVID, ladies would get on top of us and ride us during the shows, but it seems they haven’t done that since COVID.
Melina, who sat at our table, was a beautiful lady with half-Dutch features (she said she was 1/8 Dutch), and later she stood on stage and did some really cool dancing.
About the fee
A 2 hour and 30 minute stay cost 28,080 JPY for 3 people (9,360 JPY per person)
*Early bird 2.5 hour 4,000 JPY x 3 people + 1,000 JPY x ? cups for ladies drink + 20% service charge + tax
The ladies came and went a lot, and they asked for a ladies drink each time, so it ended up costing more than I had originally expected, but I think it was good value for money since we could play for 2 hours and 30 minutes for 10,000 JPY per person.

It’s a shame that the customer service has become a little less energetic than before, but the ladies wear swimsuits, there are shows, and there’s no doubt that this place stands out from the average cabaret club or girls bar.
