The other day, as a guide for foreign visitors to Japan, I went sexy cabaret club and hostess club hopping in Ikebukuro with two men from U.S.! Japanese sexy cabaret clubs are apparently attracting attention from foreign visitors under the name โOppai barโ and I often get requests from them to take me to them as a guide.

The first place I went to was Ribbon, an oppai bar that I've personally been to before.
I called to confirm if they accepted foreign customers, and they said it was okay as long as I sat at the same table as a Japanese speaker, so I gratefully accepted and went in with them.
Entering the bar
I visited the restaurant with two American tourists, G and M. We used mouthwash at the entrance, were given instructions (in Japanese), and then entered. Normally, customers sit on partitioned two-seater sofas, but since we were with foreign customers, we were guided to a table that seemed to be for groups. Beer, whiskey, and shochu were all-you-can-drink. Ladiesโ drinks were available separately. The three of us toasted with highballs and waited for a while, when three women came in.
The ladies
During my stay at the establishment, each male customer was assigned one woman, and this was repeated twice, so a total of six ladies sat at each table. However, some women were the same in both the first and second rotations (they were replaced once, and then the same lady was in the next group), so I actually met about five women.
Since I was also acting as an interpreter, I couldn't remember any of the women's names, but I do remember one lady named Juri.
During the first round, she sat next to M, and I thought she was cute. Then, during the second round, she sat next to me. Apparently, she was struggling to keep up with the conversation with the American during the first round, and when she was told to go for the second round, she asked the staff, โCan I sit next to a Japanese person next time?โ and thatโs how she ended up sitting next to me. She said she had just turned 20. Her profile picture was heavily edited; her eyes arenโt that big, and sheโs more of a traditional Japanese beauty. (I prefer her in person.)
During the stay
Those familiar with this establishment will know that typically, a lady sits next to you, engages in some light conversation, and then quickly moves on to touching, kissing, and straddling you. However, perhaps because it was a group table, or perhaps because G and M are American gentlemen, they were reluctant to touch you. They communicated using translation apps, and I ended up buying them drinks, asking, โDo you guys want something to drink?โ So, I took the initiative, exposing the breasts of the lady next to me, kissing and fondling them, encouraging them with phrases like, โGo ahead, you can touch and kiss her. Go for it!โ Finally, the intimacy began.
At the end of the first round, Gโs lady asked for a table reservation (to stay at the same table), so I explained (in English, so she wouldnโt understand) โG, thatโs an additional charge, and you donโt have to reserve her if you donโt want to. A new lady will be coming next time,โ narrowly avoiding a table reservation.
During the second round, Juri, who had been with M (whom I thought was cute during the first round), sat next to me. I thought Iโd have a bit of fun too, so after watching G and M flirt with the ladies in the second round, I started flirting with Juri. She had a strong amateurish charm that you wouldnโt expect to find in a brothel, and she was incredibly cute.
When the time for one set was up, a staff member called me out, and I left the establishment.
Price
Entering the establishment between 6 PM and 9 PM, one set costs 9,000 JPY (Japanese Yen). City Heaven had a discount coupon for a first set at 5,000 JPY, but the establishment asked me to pay the regular price because it would be a burden on the establishment and the ladies for foreign customers, so only my portion was discounted. We ordered three ladiesโ drinks inside the establishment, which were probably around 3,000 JPY each, so the average cost per customer was 10,700 JPY (about 70 USD). (G and M paid for it ๐)

After leaving the first oppai bar (Ribbon), G said he wanted to go to another oppai bar, so I frantically called around to all the bars I knew that would accept foreigners who didnโt speak Japanese. While slowly walking through Ikebukuroโs west exit area, still on the phone, a tout approached us. I usually donโt go along with touts, but I was running out of options, so I asked, โIโm looking for a sexy cabaret club that accepts foreigners. Are there any around here?โ
The tout who approached us didnโt seem to belong to any particular bar, but appeared to be connected to several. He said, โYes, I think there are a few. Please wait a moment while I check,โ and proceeded to speak to several bars on the phone. After a while, he came back and said, โThereโs one bar that seems willing to accept foreigners right now. But you canโt go in immediately; thereโll be about a 40-minute wait.โ
I didnโt want to just wait for 40 minutes, so I asked, โWould it be okay if I went to that place in 40 minutes?โ They replied, โIโm sorry, but if other customers come in during that time, weโll let them in first. However, if you could spend those 40 minutes at another hostess bar or cabaret, we can make a reservation for you at the sex cabaret. How does that sound?โ When I asked about the price, they said it would be 3,000 JPY per person for a 40-minute filler. Since it was a casual conversation, I confirmed the name of the place, โCLUB EDITION,โ which is listed on Pokepara (a dating app), so it didnโt seem like a shady establishment.
After explaining these conditions to G and M, they said, โOK, letโs go,โ and the cabaret and sex cabaret course was tentatively decided.
Entering to the club
The hostess club we were going to was very close to where Iโd been talking to the tout. I was handed over to the tout for that club, and we took the elevator down to the club. It was a hostess club in a multi-tenant building. It wasnโt particularly big, and it didnโt have a luxurious feel, but between getting off the elevator and being seated, I passed quite a few hostesses, suggesting a large number were working. In fact, it seemed like there were too many hostesses for the size of the club; it even looked like they had a surplus. The level of the hostesses was quite good; as expected of an authentic hostess club, there were many beautiful women, and they were all well-dressed. I felt it was far beyond what youโd expect for 3,000 JPY.
As soon as we were shown to our seats, the hostesses sat down with us.
The ladies
During my stay, there were two shifts, and a total of six ladies attended to me. I donโt remember all of them, but the following ladies attended to me. There was one veteran lady who was 34 years old (and had been working there for 9 years!), but the rest were mostly in their 20s or early 20s, and they were all quite cute.

During the stay
Everyone was panicking, saying things like, โOh no, I canโt speak English!โ, but they still managed to communicate with G and M in broken English, and G and M seemed to be having a lot of fun.
Moreover, whether it was because they missed the timing or because it was just a filler, the ladies didnโt ask for drinks (though they might have just not been able to ask in English lol), and they kept the conversation lively with G and M until 40 minutes later when a staff member told them to leave. (I was truly grateful for that.)
Price
The bill I was given at the end said โ9,000 JPYโ so it really only cost me 3,000 JPY (about 20 USD) x 3 people. There was no touching like in a sexy cabaret, but the ladies were pretty cute and innocent, so I thought 3,000 JPY was quite reasonable! (Well, G and M paid for it though ๐)

I went oppaibar and cabaret club hopping with two American visitors, G and M, and the last Oppai Bar we visited in Ikebukuro was Alegria.
Entering the bar
When the time for the previous hostess club was up, we were handed over to the staff of the oppai bar who were waiting at the entrance, and the three of us followed the staff and entered the club.
The ladies
During their stay, they sat down twice, and two of them were present at both sessions, so a total of four people took a seat.
Among them, Airi, who is from Hong Kong, stood out.
Both of her parents are from Hong Kong, and she was born in Hong Kong herself, but she came to Japan on a working holiday visa, obtained permanent residency in Japan at that time, and is now working (legally) at a sex cabaret in Ikebukuro. Perhaps because she is from Hong Kong, she is fluent in Chinese and English, and during the first round, she sat next to G and conversed with him in English on equal footing. During the second round, she came to sit next to me, and since she was the only one (among the ladies) who could speak English, I asked her to sit next to M, but she said, โThe staff told me to, so Iโll sit next to you,โ and sat next to me.
During the stay
It was great that Airi, whom I mentioned earlier, could speak English, but the other ladies seemed a bit low-energy. To be honest, it didn't feel very lively.
Price
A 50-minute set costs 6,000 JPY per customer. During their stay, they ordered a ladiesโ drink once, which apparently cost 2,600 JPY per glass, bringing the average cost per customer to 8,600 JPY (about 55 USD). (The topic was suggested by G and M ๐)
This concludes our oppai bar and hostess club hopping in Ikebukuro. That night, G had a late-night appointment with an escort lady in Ikebukuro (which I also helped with), so I accompanied him to the meeting with the escort lady, and that marked the end of my guiding. I said goodbye to G and M and left Ikebukuro.
