West African city "Lagos, Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ"
This summer I went on a round-the-world trip. this time I expanded to West Africa, a place I had never been to before, and also visited Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ.
West Africa isn't even featured in travel guide published in Japane and there isn't much information about it from Japan, but I've always wanted to go. It's a location that can only be reached on a round-the-world cruise, so I decided to take the plunge and stay there. and stay there.
Even Japanese passport holders need to apply for a visa to enter Nigeria, and obtaining this visa is expensive, and it was quite a hassle, as my application (I'd like to write about that experience someday.)
Scenery around city
IT met up with the guide team, who I'd previously met on the guide introduction website, in the airport parking lot, and then toured Lagos city and its suburbs in their car.
โ I was guided by a total of 3 people: 2 guides and 1 driver (on the 2nd day, the leader's younger brother joined us, making a total of 4). (I felt like a VIP!).

โ When I exchanged 300 USD (US Dollars) for the local currency (Nigerian Naira) at a money changer, I was given this stack of bills. In Nigeria, foreign- issued credit cards are almost unusable, so cash is essential. I ended up carrying this stack of bills in my bag all the time lol

โ There seemed to be a lot of Muslims in Nigeria, and I often saw people praying in the streets.

โ I didn't have time to visit, but I was able to see it from afar when I passed by in a car.

Lekki Convention Centre Park (LCC Park)
To be honest, there weren't many tourist attractions in Lagos, but there was a nature reserve called the Lekki Convention Centre (commonly (commonly known as LCC), where I could see what Lagos looked like when it was still a swampy jungle.
Deep inside the nature reserve there was even a suspension bridge that allowed me to get a bird's-eye view of the area, which really gave me an adventurous feel.

โ Once we crossed the jungle, we came across an open garden space with food stalls. I tried some stir-fried beef offal, which was quite tasty, so I bought a I tried some stir-fried beef offal, which was quite tasty, so I bought a plate.

Nigerian nightlife
There was no information about nightlife in Lagos, so I was worried about whether I would be able to have fun there before I went, but thanks to the guide team I hired, I was able to have fun! What's more, I was able to hang out with some very beautiful African ladies at a good price, so it was really great. I'll be uploading my nightlife report in Nigeria as soon as it's ready!
