"Panama ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฆ", Central American country

After crossing the Atlantic Ocean from the African continent and stopping in Brazil in South America, I headed north to Panama City, the capital of the Central American country of Panama.

Scenery around town

I had heard that Panama is economically prosperous thanks to the canal and other things, and Panama City certainly left an impression of being quite beautiful for a Latin American city. The infrastructure also seemed solid. There were also casinos all over the city, just like pachinko parlors in Japan.

Panama Canal

Speaking of Panama, you've probably heard of the Panama Canal at least once in school. I could go see it from Panama City, so I went.

Well, it's just a calm-looking river. If there were ships passing through it, it might have been impressive, but unfortunately there were no ships passing through when I went, so it was just what I'd expect.
