โ€œMarrakechโ€, a city in Morocco ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ, a country in North Africa

The 2nd time around the world (eastbound) trip in 2025. After visiting Colombia and Peru in South America and Switzerland in Europe, I arrived in Morocco ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ I stayed in Marrakech, a particularly popular tourist destination in Morocco.

Marrakech cityscape

Although Morocco is located in Africa, the language and culture are Arabic, and the atmosphere is similar to that of the Middle East. I also felt that the appearance and dress of the people who live there was quite similar to that of the UAE and Egypt, where I had previously stayed.

Speaking of Marrakech, the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square is a square in the heart of the old town, with many stalls set up from noon until late at night, creating a festival-like atmosphere every day.

โ†“ At the back of the square, there are many shops lined up in narrow alleys, which also have a nice atmosphere.

โ†“ At night, the square was packed with more stalls and people. It was incredibly lively.

โ†“ There was a crowd so I wondered what it was and turned out to be an escargot stand. It seems to be popular in Morocco. It wasn't too expensive so I tried it and it was pretty tasty.

โ†“ There were so many shops in the square, so I decided to try some. It was quite delicious.

โ†“ Speaking of Morocco, the tagine pot was often used in restaurant cooking.

โ†“ The accommodation was near Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, and I had a great view of the square from the rooftop.

Belly Dance Show

I went to see some authentic belly dancing after being introduced to it by my guide in Marrakech. Moroccan restaurant...it was really great!

โ†“ This female dancer...was my type๐Ÿ’“

Nightlife in Marrakech

I also went out at night in Marrakech! I'll post more details later๐Ÿ‘
