Addis Ababa, Ethiopia ๐ช๐น
Addis Ababa is the capital of Ethiopia, a country in East Africa. With direct flights available from Japan and other countries, it serves as a gateway to the continent. The city offers a vibrant nightlife scene, making it a highly recommended destination for a first-time trip to Africa.
I have previously written articles covering the nightlife in this city, so I would like to introduce them here.
Erotic massage
It is located in the Bole area, near the airport. I believe this is the most accessible type of nightlife spot in Addis Ababa; you can get there relatively safely by using a ride-hailing app to be dropped off right at the entrance.
Brothel bar
This place is also in Bolรฉ. I think itโs a viable option for fun, but I ended up in a bar that was a bit lacklusterโฆ
Street lady
They were in the area known as Bole and Piazza. It has a bit of an underground vibe, so if you go there, be sure to stay alert to your surroundings while walking.
Nairobi, Kenya ๐ฐ๐ช
Nairobi, Kenya, is a major African metropolis. It has long been known as one of the worldโs three great โsex capitals,โ and I had always wanted to visit it someday.
Night club
I went nightclub hopping with the guide who showed me around the area. I have written down what I can remember below.
CLUB EUREKA
A bar-style dance club in the heart of Nairobi. I went there alone before meeting up with my guide.
Paris Lounge
I was at a suburban lounge and struck up a conversation with a group of ladies visiting the place. I arranged to meet one of them (the lady on the right in the photo below) at my hotel the next dayโฆ but when the time came, she stood me up, saying, โIโm not feeling well today, so letโs do it another time.โ ๐
QUIVER KILIMANI
Things were really heating up at a night club in the suburbs. I struck up a conversation with a teenage girl there who had an incredibly sexy physique (see below); after chatting for a bit, I invited her back to my hotel, but I got a firm โno.โ ๐
Tin N Lit Lounge, Thikaroad
This is another suburban lounge. It seems Nairobi has quite a few lounges and nightclubs like this in the suburbs.
IRIS
At โIRIS,โ the last stop on our nightclub-hopping tour, I met the best Kenyan ladyโฆ (See separate article)
Strip club
In between nightclub-hopping, I also visited a few strip clubs. Unlike the nightclubs, the ladies inside were clearly professionals, so in terms of ease of interaction, it seemed less complicated than the nightclubs. (Although, there werenโt any ladies who were quite my type when I went, so I didnโt end up picking anyoneโฆ)

It was located in downtown Nairobi. The setup involved women sitting in a bar-like area; you would choose one and then go into a private room for some fun. It was essentially like a strip club, but without the dancing. Unfortunately, when I visited, there werenโt any ladies worth choosing.
Erotic massage
The system is almost same as in other countries. However, the place I visited differed in that the service details (specifically, the scope of the service) and pricing were very clearly defined, and the attendant got naked right from the start of the massage.

Street lady
Iโve spotted them standing all alone in the city or on streets lined with strip clubs. I didnโt actually engage with them, so I donโt know the details. Since theyโre often found in dark, sketchy areas at night, the barrier to entry for actually interacting with them might be a bit high.

Lagos, Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ
Lagos, Nigeriaโa major metropolis in West Africa. This was my first trip to the region.
To begin with, just getting a visa to enter the country was a real hassle. My application was rejected about twice, and that alone cost me over 300 USDโฆ
It was also quite inconvenient that foreign-issued credit cards didnโt work there. Luckily, I had brought US dollars with me, so I exchanged them for the local currency and managed to go out for some nightlife.
โ When I exchanged 300 USD into Nigerian naira, this is the stack of bills I was handed.
My stay in Nigeria involved quite a few challenges, but the nightlife offered excellent value for money; I repeatedly met stunning Black ladiesโthe kind that I tought, โI canโt believe Iโm with a beauty like this for this price!โ

I think this genre is probably the most accessible one for foreigners in Lagos. Here are the places Iโve confirmed.

Trickys Adult World
I didnโt actually hang out there, but itโs a pretty large strip club, so I think it would be a good place to spend some time.
Restaurant bar

I also stopped by a restaurant-bar that had a slightly more relaxed atmosphere than a strip club, though there were still professional ladies waiting there. There were plenty of groups just there for drinks or a meal, and many ladies who werenโt professional hostesses in the place as well. A fair number of foreigners (a group of white people, when I visited) were there, so I think you could wander around the venue without any issues. There are no playrooms on the premises; if you want to get intimate with a hostess, you would either take her back to your hotel or go to a nearby โrental roomโ (private hourly room) to do so.
Brothel bar for locals
This place isnโt listed on Google Maps and has no signage, so Iโd say visiting with a local is essential. (If you went just as a group of foreigners, you likely wouldnโt get inโor even if you did, youโd stand out awkwardly, which wouldnโt be good for either you or the local clientele.)
Basically, there is a room inside that serves as a playroom; once you reach an agreement with one of the ladies, you head there for the actual encounter. While the average level of the ladies isnโt particularly high, if you look closely, you can find some cute ones.

Street lady
There was a street-solicitation spot near the strip clubs and bars catering to locals. Although the area was dark and had a shady, underground vibe, the atmosphere was surprisingly cheerful; the ladies were unexpectedly friendly, smiling and waving with a โHi!โ While the overall caliber of the ladies wasnโt particularly high, it wasnโt bad either, and if you walked around a bit, you could occasionally spot someone who caught your eye.

Kafi Street
Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa ๐ฟ๐ฆ
Johannesburg, South Africa. I had long wanted to visit this cityโinfamous for being dangerous cityโand finally made the trip in 2025.
Regarding safety, the situation differs significantly between downtown (the central district historically associated with the Black population) and uptown (the upscale suburban residential areas). While downtown felt tense, uptown had an atmosphere reminiscent of an affluent U.S. neighborhood; I felt absolutely no sense of danger walking alone there at night.
As for nightlife, I visited various spots after having a local guide do some research for me.
Iโll introduce Johannesburgโs nightlife spots by area.
Uptown
The Sandton area is considered one of the safer parts of the uptown district, so I chose to stay at a hotel there.
The area is dotted with hotels and shopping malls; the malls even feature venues such as nightclubs and were bustling with energy.

Steps to enter the club
On the day I arrived in Johannesburg, I met up with a guide in the evening to visit some nightlife spots. After checking out a few places downtown, we decided to head to a strip club in the uptown area.
When we arrived, the guide said, โThe entrance fee here is steep, so youโre better off going in alone.โ So, I ended up entering the club by myself.
After passing through the doormanโs security check, I stepped inside. There was a reception counter right at the entrance. When I said I was alone, the staff member quoted a price of 1,650 ZAR (South African Rand)โroughly 92 USD. Wow, that certainly was pricey. However, the entrance fee included unlimited access to the buffet; drinks, on the other hand, had to be paid for separately. I paid the entrance fee using my credit card, as they accepted card payments.
Once payment was settled, I was stamped on the wrist for re-entry (it seemed that once inside, you could come and go as you pleased until closing time) and shown into the venue. The interior was quite spacious, featuring one stage with a dance pole and three bar counters. The design was dominated by red tones and was impeccably clean and stylishโexactly what youโd expect from a high-end club.
Upon entering the floor, I was offered a welcome drink and could choose from beer, wine, or liqueurs. I opted for sparkling wine and walked around the floor with it.
Buffet
There was a buffet restaurant at the back of the floor, and it was far more impressive than I had imagined. It was in a completely different league from the FKKs found in Europe; the sheer variety was overwhelmingโso extensive that you couldnโt even finish a single bite of everythingโfeaturing cuisines from around the world alongside salad and dessert bars. On top of that, there were teppanyaki and sushi counters, both of which were included in the buffet at no extra costโa truly remarkable level of variety and quality.
Other facilities
There was a staircase leading to the second floor off to the side of the main area; it seemed that if I was going to engage in activities with one of the ladies, I would head up to a private room there.
The restroom was stocked not only with oral care products but also an array of perfumes from famous brands, all available for free use. Also, the design of the urinals looked strangely familiarโor so I thought.
About the ladies
There were about 10 to 15 ladies on the floor, and generally speaking, they were quite attractive. They came from diverse backgrounds; among those I spoke with, I met ladies from South Africa, Morocco, and Russia.
One of them, a Russian woman named Ruby, was actively trying to attract customers, so I chatted with her for a while. It turned out she also works in Japan and is affiliated with a gentlemenโs club in Roppongi called โSeventh Heaven.โ
After we finished talking, she invited me for a private dance. When I asked the price, she said 2,000 ZAR (approx. 110 USD)โa pretty steep figure. I asked if there were other options besides a private dance, and she replied, โThere are. But can you pay in cash? Sex is 12,000 ZAR (approx. 650 USD).โ One hundred thousand yenโฆ Ruby was certainly beautiful, but she had the kind of looks you could find at a popular FKK club in Europe. I didnโt feel like spending that kind of money. I told Ruby Iโd pass on the extra services, gave her a 100 ZAR (approx. 5.6 USD) tip, and said goodbye.
In the end, I had a meal at the buffet, watched the striptease for a while, and then left the club.
Price
The total payment came to 1,830 ZAR (approximately 100 USD), comprising a 1,650 ZAR entrance fee, 80 ZAR for a beer ordered inside (70 ZAR base price plus an optional tip), and a 100 ZAR tip for Ruby.
The facilities and dining were excellent, but I couldnโt shake the impression that the cost-performance ratio for the time spent with the hostesses was questionable. I suppose itโs the kind of place catering to wealthy locals and expatriates.
THE PALACE (strip club)
That day, my guide, T, got in touch with a freelance woman and offered to introduce me to her; however, since she needed some time to get ready, he suggested we visit a strip club near the hotel in the meantime.
Entering the club
The location was Sandton, an area north of downtown Johannesburg; itโs quite safeโsafe enough that walking alone at night wouldnโt be a problem. I stayed at a hotel in this area during my time in Johannesburg.
Shortly after 8:00 PM, I got out of the car and headed for the entrance, only to find they hadnโt opened yet; a staff member told me they wouldnโt start until 10:00 PM. With no other choice, I returned to the car, rejoined my guide and driver, and the three of us killed time by having dinner (at a nearby McDonaldโs, chosen by the other two).
At 10:00 PM, I parted ways with them again and headed to the strip club. It was open by then; after passing through a security check at the entrance, I paid the fee at the reception deskโ220 ZAR (South African Rand, roughly 1,850 yen) via credit card. Once payment was complete, I was handed a stack of tickets that looked like play money. When I asked what they were for, I was told, โTheyโre tip tickets.โ It seems the cost of tips was included in the admission fee.
Stepping onto the floor, I found an interior bathed in red light with loud music blasting. Despite it being just after opening time, there were already about twenty dancers and a smattering of customers. I walked around the venue a bit before taking a seat at an empty table. After a while, I spotted a dancer who caught my eye walking past. As I watched her, she looked back; our eyes met, and we exchanged a silent greeting. When she walked past me again, our eyes locked once more, and she walked over to sit right next to me.
About the lady
Naomi is from South Africa; she appears to be in her early twenties.
She was a classic Black beauty with striking, well-defined featuresโreminiscent, perhaps, of a young Beyoncรฉ. While many of the other women in the club had voluptuous, curvy figures, she stood out with a toned, slender physique that looked stunning in a chic, celebrity-style dress.
Lap dance
We exchanged greetings and chatted for a while. Before long, she invited me: โSo, how about a lap dance?โ When I asked the price, she said, โ300 ZAR (approx. 16 USD).โ She was a real beauty, so I decided to go for it without hesitation. As I pulled 300 ZAR in cash from my wallet, Naomi remarked, โOh, paying in cash?โ Wondering if the ticket Iโd received at the entrance might be valid for a lap dance, I showed it to her; she accepted it, saying, โThis works.โ I hadnโt counted exactly how many tickets I had, but I assume the total value was equivalent to 300 ZAR.
(Since the entrance fee was 220 ZAR, this actually worked out to be a pretty good dealโฆ)
After putting the ticket away in my bag, she moved the table aside, straddled my lap, and began the lap dance. I was allowed to touch her breasts and thighsโover her clothes, of courseโand she had a wonderfully fit, healthy, and toned physique. She turned around and shook her hips rapidly (and naturally, I got to bury my face in them) and struck sexy poses while sitting on the table; it was a thoroughly satisfying experience.
Once the lap dance ended and she sat back down next to me, she made another offer: โI also offer โextra servicesโ in a private roomโinterested?โ When I asked the price, she said, โWell, for sex, itโs 5,000 ZAR (approx. 276 USD),โ which was quite steep. I already had plans later with an escort arranged by my guide, T, so I declined the private room extra and said goodbye to Naomi there. She asked for a tip at the end, so I handed her 200 ZAR in cash, and we exchanged kisses on the cheek before saying bye.
The price
The total came to 420 ZAR (approx. 23 USD)โcomprising a 220 ZAR entrance fee and a 200 ZAR tip after the lap dance. She was a real stunner; itโs a shame I couldnโt have sex with her, but considering the price for a lap dance, I felt it was actually quite a good deal.

I messaged Guide T on WhatsApp to ask if he knew of any adult massage parlors that accept foreigners, and he recommended two places. One of them cost just under 70 USD for 60 minutesโnot too expensiveโso I decided to give it a try.
The shopโs website didnโt list the location, so I asked for the address via WhatsApp and they provided it.
I took an Uber to the location. It was situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, and the establishment itself looked just like a private home.
After messaging them on WhatsApp to say I had arrived, the gate opened and I stepped inside. A female receptionist welcomed me. I was told the masseuses would come out one by one for me to see, so I waited on the sofa near the entrance.
A total of three women came out to greet me: two white women and one who appeared to be Latina. Unfortunately, none of them were quite my type, so I told the receptionist I wanted to leave; she agreed without any fuss.
Freelance escort
As for the freelance escort whom Guide T finally introducedโI will report on that in a separate article at a later date.
Downtown
Hill brow, a district in the heart of Johannesburg. Guidebooks and travel agency materials warn against walking around there out of mere curiosity, as the area is known for safety concerns.
I toured the area by car with a local guide named T and a driver, and we even stopped by a strip club for some fun. Iโve written separate articles about these experiences, so please check them out if you havenโt already. (Both were actually quite good!)

I managed to spot a location in a section of downtown Hillbrow. It was dark, making it nearly impossible to see what the hostesses looked like; furthermore, the area seemed quite dangerous, so I decided against getting out of the car.
Soweto District
โSowetoโ lies southwest of central Johannesburg. Designated as a residential area for Black people during the apartheid era, it remains home to a large Black population today. My guide, โT,โ and the driver were both from Soweto; when we arrived, they showed me around, saying, โThis is our โsweet homeโ.โ
There are also local bars here that operate as brothels, and I visited one with T. I plan to write a separate report about that experience at a later date.
(Bonus) Guide Tโs nightlife guide service, โGentXSAโ
T, the guide who showed me around Johannesburg, told me that acting as a nightlife guide for me was his first time doing so; however, after I returned home, he contacted me to say he had started offering nightlife tours professionallyโand he even built a website!
If you want to see downtown Johannesburg in particular, I believe having a guide is essential due to safety concerns. I also think a Black guide is a better choice than a white one (if a white person and an Asian person walk side-by-side through a Black neighborhood, they would likely stand out quite a bit).
